Eco-friendly liquid Deicer

Snowfall is getting severe in winter season as the climate is changing. Accordingly people should spend more time and money in maintaining road, walking paths, parking lots to remove snow and ice in winter season. There have been many alternatives to replace rock salts, which is being mostly used as deicer today, but failed in spreading out due to their expensive costs, compared to their efficiency.

Chloride-lon-based deicers such as Rock salts or calcium chloride are very harmful to environment. Those deicers cause many problems to vehicles, building fixtures, and finally to environment by spoiling water, vagetation, and microorganism. Nevertheless, the fact is that those chloride-based deicers are being mostly used because any alternatives are not satisfing both in their effectiveness and costing.

Chloride based deicers cause rapid corrosion to metals, concrete and asphalt and thereby reduces shelflife of vehicles and road facilities. It's proven sientifically that chloride-based deicers are harm to plants, vegetables and other living organisms and can cause various skin problems on human body and animals. Those can spoil rivers and soils after liquefaction with snow. Moreover, those are hard to store for long period of time since CaCl₂solidifies after water absorption

JF-1004 is the newest innovative liquid deicer, developped based on environment technology for people and environment. It can be a solution for winter season deicing and street cleaning. It stays on the surfaces for longer time, compared to the regular deicers. By just keeping the container closed after first application, there is no quality problem happened for longer period of time. Since it does not have any additional expenditure after the application, JF-1004 is an economical as well.

1. Why is our liquid deicer better than calcium salt for snow removal?     

Our liquid deicer is harmless to living organisms and it is an environmental friendly product. Our product received recognition from many other advanced countries, especially European countries. It presents good results that resolve the negative points calcium salt has with good quality.

2. The difference between our liquid deicer and calcium salt.

Although our liquid deicer may be a little more expensive than calcium salt, the effectiveness of our product is much more productive. Our product can cover greater distances with longer and better results afterwards as the calcium salt using the same amount. Also, our product does NOT have the negative effects the calcium salt has, which proves the advantages of using the liquid deicer. Our product is simple, quick, and safe with quality results that differ from the performance of calcium salts.

3. During the first snowfall, when and how much of the liquid deicer do you use for it to be productive?

There are two (2) ways of snow removal; snow prevention and snow clean-up. If you use the salt or our product before the snow falls, it is considered prevention. We strongly recommend using our product before the first snowfall for prevention first. Then when the snow piles to approximately 2 inches on the roads, you can start using the liquid deicer again.

4. If snow continues to fall, when (time and temperature wise) is it good to use the liquid deicer again.

Based on the environmental guideline (Eco Mark), snow removal is divided into two (2) parts by time and temperature. The time difference from the first use must be 60min or 120 min with a temperature of either -5 °C (23 °F) or -12 °C (10.4 °F) in order to use again, however these guidelines do NOT apply to our product. It is recommended to just simply use our product about every 2 to 3 inches of snow.
  
5. Wouldn’t you have to use a greater amount and effort if the liquid deicer drifts off of the roads before snowfall, therefore having no effect?

Absolutely NOT, our liquid deicer remains on the roads and refrains from drifting elsewhere into places such as sewers. Our deicer sticks to the roads while it snows to melt the snow and reach its maximum efficiency.

6. Are there any other useful or important facts to know when using our product?

Objective Standard: 4 Lane Street with approximately 3 cm (1.2 inches) of snow

  • Sprinkler truck’s speed limit: should be about 25 Miles/Hour
  • Nozzle hole size: 1 – 2mm (0.039 – 0.078 Inch)
  • Amount and distance of liquid deicer: 2 Km/Ton (1.24 Miles/Ton)
  • The Sprinkler truck’s capacity should be able to hold 16 tons and clean 32km (= 19.9 Mile)

 Without previous protection from the snowfall, as the amount of snow increases from about 6 inches and up, the amount of liquid deicer should also increase, however the speed of the spraying should decrease.

7. Where else can our liquid deicer be applied?

It can be used at air port runways, cement parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, etc.
